The Chemistry advisor provides advising for chemistry majors, prospective chemistry majors, and students with questions about chemistry transfer credits or chemistry course selection. Appointments can be scheduled via the Scheduling Assistant.
Prepare for Your Appointment
The advisor will have a DARS report available when you come to the appointment. It is recommended that you review your DARS report yourself before the appointment to identify any questions that you might have. You should also bring to the appointment:
Any questions you have about requirements, post-graduate options, classes, etc.
A list of courses you are thinking of taking next semster and your ideas for future semesters, if you wish to discuss course selection.
Drop-in Chemistry Advising
Dr. Hamers provides drop-in chemistry advising during the first two weeks of the fall and spring semesters and during busy enrollment periods, typically in April and November. Drop-in hours will be posted on Dr. Hamers' calendar. Appointments are very limited during drop-in advising periods.
