Our research group studies bioinorganic chemistry, the role of the inorganic elements in biological systems.  Specifically, we explore the function of metalloproteins in gas sensing, studying how the interaction of a gas molecule with a metal center alters the structure and function of the protein.  We use our understanding of the proteins we study as a guide for the design of inorganic molecules that act as gas sensors.  Enjoy our site!!!!
