Project 1: 1. Responsible to synthesize molecules.

Project 2:This internship will be focused on Green Chemistry and will investigate late stage enzyme catalyzed reactions as a tool to create new compounds that would be tested against diverse biological targets. The candidate will be expected to synthesize intermediates, run enzyme catalyzed reactions and contribute to the isolation and analysis of products from complex mixtures.
Project 3: The intern will be involved in the execution of an organic chemistry research project, including optimization of a novel reaction method and exploration of its capabilities. This includes experimenting with reaction conditions for identification of optimal parameters and use of the method for synthesis of a variety of compounds. The intern, with assistance from the manager, will be responsible for experimental design and analysis of data. Successful completion of the project is expected to result in publication of the results.
Project 4:This internship will focus on the development of a new reaction methodology in the area of catalysis with the goal of publication in a peer-reviewed journal. The intern will be responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing experiments. The intern will be expected to learn quickly and provide intellectual contributions to drive the project to completion.
Project 5:Specific projects designed by our scientists will provide the interns with hands-on synthetic chemistry experience, such as designing and synthesizing novel compounds for chemistry exploration. Interns will gain valuable experience using the latest laboratory equipment and tools in a world-class research environment.
The candidate will be expected to synthesize intermediates, run water-sensitive reactions and contribute to the isolation and analysis of products from complex mixtures.
Project 6:The intern will be performing multi-step organic synthesis; utilizing flash chromatography for purification; characterizing purified compounds by various techniques including LCMS and NMR spectroscopy; communicating clearly, both orally and in writing in a team environment.
Project 7:The successful applicant will be responsible for the synthesis, purification, and characterization of organic compounds. Standard laboratory techniques such as TLC monitoring of reactions, liquid-liquid extractions, and column chromatography will be used. Analytical techniques such as NMR and LCMS will be used to establish the identity and purity of the synthesized compounds. The successful applicant will be responsible for documenting experimental procedures and for providing regular summaries of their results.

Project 1:A degree in Organic chemistry, Medicinal chemistry, Pharmaceuticals, Chemistry
Project 2:Applicants must be in the process of earning or recently earned (within 2 years) a BS in Chemistry and have completed at least 3 years of college undergraduate education by June 2017. Applicants should have a keen interest in Green Chemistry and experience with enzyme catalyzed reactions would be beneficial. Additionally, the applicants should display an excellent academic record (minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA) and be a fulltime student. Prior chemistry laboratory experience in the academic setting or biotechnology/pharmaceutical industries is required. Applicants should also convey strong quantitative and analytical skills (NMR, LCMS), demonstrated ability and experience in effectively interacting with teams, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Project 3:Major in chemistry, biochemistry, or related field; Successful completion of organic chemistry I and II undergraduate courses; Organic chemistry lab experience preferred; Relevant skills include experience in multistep synthesis, air and moisture sensitive reaction setup, HPLC, NMR, TLC, and literature searching techniques.
Project 4:Candidates should be majoring in Chemistry with a focus in Organic Chemistry. The intern will have an understanding of synthetic organic chemistry and be proficient in a laboratory setting. Experience with analysis techniques including NMR and LCMS, in addition to compound purification via column chromatography is strongly recommended. The ideal candidate will be highly driven and motivated and demonstrate creativity in their problem-solving.
Project 5:Applicants must be in the process of earning or recently earned (within 2 years) a BS in Chemistry and have completed at least 3 years of college undergraduate education by June 2017. Additionally, the applicants should display an excellent academic record (minimum 3.2/4.0 GPA) and be a fulltime student.
