Housing Information for Telluride Summer Research Center 2000
(Last edited 01/30/01)
Housing forms and full payment are due March
23, 2001. All housing will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. After March
23, housing will still be available, but prices may be considerably higher. If your
university/group is paying for your housing, please return the form without funds and
indicate that payment option (and when they will send payment) on the registration form.
PLEASE NOTE: The housing rates offered to summer workshops are substantially less than
regular market rates. This is because housing is reserved in advance in set blocks. After
MAY 1 changes in your reservation cannot be made. Please be sure of your condo size and
who is sharing it with you (if anyone) before returning this form.
All units are in downtown historic Telluride, within walking distance of the meetings,
shopping, playgrounds, and hiking trails. United Airlines provides daily flights from
Denver into Telluride; America West has flights from Phoenix to Telluride. Try to fly into
Telluride rather than Montrose so as to avoid having to pay for the taxi to Telluride.
Telluride is 350 miles southwest of Denver.
All housing units provide necessary linens, with one mid-week cleaning. Units have a fully
equipped kitchen and a telephone. Cribs are available on request. All workshops run Sunday
to Sunday, with check-in time at 4:00pm and check-out time at 11:00am. If you are not
coming for a full week or are coming a day or two early, call and we will refer you to a
moderately priced hotel (~$90/night) in Telluride that can possibly accommodate you on an
individual basis. Housing confirmations will be sent by May 30.
