Research Description:

Brian has developed a synthetic route to make chiral 3,4-diazaphospholanes with a pendant functional group for the purpose of assembling dichelating, enatiomerically pure ligands for use in asymmetric catalysis.  Currently, he is in the process of making various diazaphospholane-phosphite, diazaphospholane-phosphinite, and bis-diazaphospholane ligands for use in asymmetric hydroformylation.

Fun Fact:

Brian's right arm is 2 cm longer than his left.  He also reads good.
