Madison City Life Madison is a vibrant city of just over 200,000 people. Located in south central Wisconsin, the geography of Madison is defined by the three lakes that surround it, Mendota, Monona and Wingra. It is like no other place in Wisconsin, with its big town atmosphere and small town charm. During the week politicians go to and from the capitol building while on the weekends; the same area is flooded with local farmers selling their goods at the market. With its beautiful summers and Midwestern winters, Madison has something for everyone. The only way to fully understand the Mad City is to experience it.
