Waters (Micromass) AutoSpec®: electron impact, magnetic sector, direct probe
The sample in a piece of glass capillary is inserted into the source, and the resulting vapors are bombarded with 70 eV electrons. PFK, perfluorokerosene, is used for calibration. The purchase of the AutoSpec® was partially funded by NSF Award #CHE-9304546 to the Department of Chemistry.
