Didemniserinolipid B
Didemniserinolipid B is a marine
tunicate that was first isolated in 1999 from the methanol extract of Didemnum
sp. Although this compound shows no
biological activity, related compounds have been discovered to activity as
HIV-1 integrase inhibitors. All serinolipids contain a
unique serinol component and a 6,8-dioxabicyclo[3.2.1]octane core. This type of structure is quite
synthetically interesting and poses an attractive target for our
ketalization/ring closing metathesis strategy. |
