The focus of my work is on the enhancement of communicating science in general and chemistry in particular to audiences of all sorts, with special emphasis toward introductory students and the general public. The main vehicle for this enhancement is the direct experience of phenomena through demonstrations and interactive experiences.
This work has resulted in the development of dozens of novel science demonstrations, laboratory exercises, and interactive exhibits. These results are disseminated through publication in books and journals, presentation of workshops and science shows, production of videos, and exhibitions in museums and science centers.
