CURENT SEMESTER EVENTS
Our next event will be this Thursday, February 18th at 6:00 in room 8335. John Moore and Betty Moore will be speaking to us (they are married and both work in the chemistry department for the Journal of Chemical Education, which is a national publication). Which reports on new developments in chemical education. Professor Moore also teaches chem 109. We will have food from Gino's. Hope to see you there.
Also coming up, on March 5th, Ron Seely will be speaking to an event open to the whole department. He is a senior lecturer in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, but is also an environmental reporter for the Wisconsin State Journal newspaper. His speech is titled "Science as story: How I get neutrinos and prions into the headlines. It's at 3:30 pm (3/5 is a Friday). Some ACS undergrads will be going as a group, and would like you to join us. We will have a meeting place around 3:15. More info to follow.
