Professor Amy S. Mullin is seeking a bright, energetic and experienced postdoctoral candidate to join her research group at Boston University. Her work is aimed at investigating the collisional and reactive dynamics of highly excited molecules that are important to a wide range of combustion, high temperature and unimolecular decomposition processes. This work is funded by the NSF, the ONR, the Henry Luce Foundation, and most recently, the Dreyfus Foundation. Potential candidates should note that our techniques for studying chemical dynamics in high-energy environments can be applied to a wide number of interesting chemical systems involved in combustion and atmospheric chemistry. I believe the skills learned in my labs will be excellent training for candidates with a future interest in establishing a research program in atmospheric or environmental chemistry. Interested applicants should send me a vitae, list of publications and arrange for two letters of recommendation to be sent to: Amy S. Mullin, Clare Boothe Luce Professor, Boston University, Metcalf Center for Science and Engineering, Department of Chemistry, 590 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston, MA 02215, Fax (617) 353-6466 Phone (617) 353-8477, e-mail: mullin@chem.bu.edu . I am hoping to fill this position within the next 6 months.
