General Information
The Eighth International Symposium on Carbanion Chemistry (ISCC-8) follows the seven previous meetings at Durham, UK (1984), Ottawa, Canada (1989), Gallipoli, Italy (1992), Fort Collins, USA (1995), Sendai, Japan (1998), Marburg, Germany (2001) and Alicante, Spain (2004).
The organizing committee is pleased to announce that the 2007 meeting (ISCC-8) will take place on the campus of the
University of Wisconsin, in Madison, Wisconsin, USA, from Wednesday, June 6 to Sunday, June 10.
We extend a warm welcome to those who are interested in attending the conference.
Scientific Scope and Program
ISCC-8 will consist of plenary lectures (50 min), invited lectures (25 min), oral presentations (15 min) and posters. All aspects of carbanion chemistry (synthetic, mechanistic, structural and theoretical) as well as the chemistry of alkali and alkali earth metals are of interest. Posters will be accepted until the capacity is reached (deadline April 1, 2007).
Location
The conference will be held in Chemistry Building on the University of Wisconsin campus in Madison, Wisconsin.
Language
The official language of ISCC-8 for posters, oral presentations, and discussions will be English.
On-Site Registration
Registration will be open from 15:30 to 21:00 pm, Wednesday June 6 at the Pyle Center (702 Langdon St, corner of Lake and Langdon). Attendees who arrive later can register at the conference site, 1315 Chemistry (corner of Mill and Johnson Street), during the symposium starting in the morning of June 7.
