Drop-in Chemistry Advising
Dr. Hamers provides drop-in chemistry advising during the first two weeks of the fall and spring semesters and during busy enrollment periods, typically in April and November. Drop-in hours will be posted on Dr. Hamers' calendar. Appointments are very limited during drop-in advising periods.
Students needing enrollment or course access assistance do not need to see the advisor. Instead, please visit our enrollment enquiries web page and see the contact informaition near the bottom of that page.
The Chemistry advisor provides advising for chemistry majors and prospective chemistry majors. Appointments can be scheduled via the Scheduling Assistant.
Prepare for Your Appointment
The advisor will have a DARS report available when you come to the appointment. However, it is recommended that you review your DARS yourself before the appointment to identify any questions that you might have.
You should also bring to the appointment:
Any questions you have about requirements, post-graduate options, classes, etc.
A list of courses you are thinking of taking next semster and your ideas for future semesters, if you wish to discuss course selection.
