Congratulations To Our Department!

Each year the Office of the Dean of Students give out a small number of awards to departments, known as "Partnership Awards". This year the Dean's office presented Chemistry with a  Dean of Students Partnership Award.

Gery Essenmacher represented our department at the presentation. In presenting the award, Lori Berquam highlighted the Department's response to events such as the loss of Mike McCoy, and noted how a hard‑science department such as chemistry can set a tone that makes students feel like they are part of a family.

So, congratulations to our department on setting an excellent example! All of you play an important part of this, so each one of you played a role in our receipt of this award. (The award consists of a nice plaque with a picture of Bascom Hall..... sorry, no money with this one!!)
