1999 National Sea Grant College Program Funding Opportunities
We have just learned that the National Sea Grant Office (NSGO) intends to request proposals for five nationally competitive grant programs for fiscal year 1999, and that the projected time line for submitting preproposals and preparing full proposals will be quite short. The five draft announcements are for:
The NSGO is presently in the process of publishing these funding announcements in the Federal Register. However, the drafts of these announcements and requests for proposals may be viewed on the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Web site at www.oar.noaa.gov/admin/website.html . Sea Grant is also a partner in the interagency Ecology and Oceanography of Harmful Algal Blooms Program (ECOHAB) - watch for an announcement for that program on the same NOAA Web page in the future. A link to that NOAA Web page is available on the University of Wisconsin Sea Grant Institute's Grants and Awards Information Web page at www.seagrant.wisc.edu/grantinfo . We will post the official final announcements on our Web site - along with guidelines for submitting proposals for funding from these programs via UW Sea Grant - just as soon as we get the green light from the NSGO, which is expected in one to two weeks. *NOTE: Due to time constraints, we will not be mailing you a printed version of these funding announcements and genes. Instead, interested potential applicants Will need to go to our Grants and Awards Information Web page www.seagrant.wisc.edu/grantinfo to obtain this information.
ATTENTION: Effective January 11, 1999, the University of Wisconsin Sea Grant Institute will move into its new home at: Goodnight Hall, 2nd Floor, University of Wisconsin-Madison, 1975 Willow Drive, Madison, WI 53706-1103, New Fax Number: 608/262-0591, (all other phones numbers & email addresses remain the same).
