The Chemistry Electronics Shop is located on the second floor of the Mathews Building, west of the three central elevators and north of the Paul Bender Chemical Instrumentation Laboratories.

Shop Hours

Monday - Friday
7:45 - 11:30 a.m.
12:30 - 4:15 p.m.

Our labor rate is $7 per hour.

Repair

Some of the things we repair include lab instruments, balances, power supplies, laser printers, hot/stir plates, heatguns, ovens, and more. If you have a question about what we can repair, please stop by, call us, or send us an email.

Design and Fabrication

We design and build analog and digital circuits for the research and teaching labs. Some of the instruments include detector pre-amplifiers, signal conditioning amplifiers, computer interfaces, motor drivers, high voltage and high frequency circuits, and specialized power supplies.

Electronic Parts Sales

We also have an extensive stock of discreet components, integrated circuits, connectors, switches, resistors, capacitors, IC sockets, wire and cable, enclosures, and more.

Equipment Lending

We make short-term loans of equipment including power supplies, meters, function generators, oscilloscopes, etc. to research groups in the chemistry department.
