Graduate students in the department may follow six primary paths of study (areas of specialization) to guide their courses of study and research. All six paths offer both master's and Ph.D. degree options.
Incoming students choose a path based on their strongest current research interest. However, once in the department, students may change paths as their research interests evolve. All graduate students are strongly encouraged to collaborate with faculty members from other paths or even other departments.
