PLT is a program for drawing chemical structures and creating hard copy on printers and other Windows-supported output devices (Author, Screen shot, Features, FAQ). It will run on all versions of Windows (95, 98, NT, ME, 2000, XP). PLT provides routines for producing all rings and line types used in chemical structures, formatted text material in any TrueType font installed on your system (including greek characters and special chemical characters like radical anion, radical cation, double dagger) and supports the use of color. Sample PLT drawings, some taken from the Windows Help file:
PLT can also produce images and files of chemical drawings in a variety of other formats, including Windows Metafiles (WMF, EMF), bitmaps (BMP, GIF), PostScript (EPS) for transferring structures to other programs (such as word processors or page design programs). PLT can also create web pages (HTML and associated graphics files) from PLT drawings. For some Web pages created entirely with PLT see:
There are also routines for inserting bitmaps (BMP, GIF, JPG) into chemical drawings, creating X-Y graphs, drawing curves of the form y = f(x), and inserting NMR spectra into drawings, and tracing scanned NMR spectra. For PLT files containing NMR spectra and/or graphs see:
