| Research Summary |
Dave studied a series of unusual hypervalent selenium compounds with potential as chiral dienophiles. The Diels-Alder products have selenium functionality which can be used for further transformations.![]() Dave also worked on the chemistry of selenones (together with Debbie Saez). He showed that vinyl phenyl selenone is an active bis-electrophile, which forms aziridines with primary amines and diazetidines with hydrazines. ![]() | ||
