Eric explored the use of intra- and inter-molecular Diels-Alder reactions of vinyl allenes. He was one of three students (the others were Martha Kelly and
Rick Olson) whose research exploited the chemistry of silyl ketones for the preparation of natural products, although he was the only one who actually made a sesquiterpene, in fact he made two related ones. | ||
