Spring Semester 2007

"Every other" Friday, 1:00 PM, Room 9341 Chemistry (Chemistry Lounge)

Format: The seminars will consist of 40 - 50 minute research talks given by organic division graduate students. The talks will be followed by a 10 minute question and answer session. All attendees will also be provided with evaluation forms on which they can provide feedback (anonymously) to the speaker.

Goals:

(1) Facilitate communication about personal research among the groups in our department.

(2) Provide speakers with productive advice and comments about personal research. This seminar series will provide an opportunity for graduate students to elicit valuable advice from students in different research groups with expertise in other areas.

(3) Raise the general level of student awareness of the research occurring within our department.

Food and beverages will be provided immediately prior to each seminar.
